Join three expert trainers in yoga, sound and breath therapy to unwind and be mindful in the beautiful Somerset countryside

With the hectic schedules we all keep and the stressful lifestyles we lead, it's sometimes difficult to make time to reset mentally and physically. On this three-night stay at Our Retreat in the wonderful Somerset countryside, you'll be joined by three experts in yoga and mindfulness to help you do just that.

Yoga instructor Jade McClernon will take you through a daily practice. Sound artist Cherub Sanson will employ gongs, drums and Cherabella crystal sound bowls to help you unwind and deeply calm your senses through vibration. Lisa Sibley-Pollitt, our expert breath coach, will provide guided meditation sessions to help you rebalance the mind and body.

You'll also be joined by WH Deputy Editor Victoria Joy for a session. This combination of breath work, yoga and sound meditation will lead you from the sympathetic nervous system - where most of us live our lives - to the parasympathetic nervous system, where the body can rest and recharge. The nourishing food and 42 acres of peaceful surroundings provide the ideal setting for this magical healing to happen.

Specialist tuition from the experts

Jade, Cherub and Lisa are all experts in their fields, selected by Our Retreat for their experience and industry reputation. They will help you reach your mindfulness goals through the use of movement, sound and breath. While Victoria Joy, Women's Health Deputy Editor and retreat veteran, will join you for a Q&A session in the yurt, discussing how she stays Zen while leading a busy lifestyle in the city.

The award-winning luxury farmhouse, where Our Retreat is hosted, sits within 42 acres of ancient forest and wild meadows, so you'll be able to stay in touch with nature and enjoy its therapeutic benefits.

Nutritous meals

After your morning practice, you'll enjoy a healthy buffet-style brunch to fuel your day, created by the on-site chefs. Mid-afternoon, they'll rustle up protein shakes and snacks to power you through your evening sessions, before you enjoy a plant-based group dinner and discuss your day's activities.

Jade McClernon
Yoga instructor

Jade McClernon fell in love with yoga after having her first child. Her body was struggling to restore itself after a C-section and yoga was the only thing that helped ease Jade's back and mind. After another child - and another C-section - Jade practised yoga to support and reignite her centre. This is how she also found pilates. These two practices allowed Jade to re-establish herself mentally and physically after having children. She now empowers students with these skills to build confidence and love for their bodies through creative and inquisitive sessions.

Cherub Sanson
Sound therapy

Although she comes from a business background, Cherub Sanson discovered a passion for music during her travels to India back in 2012. On her return to the UK, Cherub trained in music therapy, setting up her own music company primarily for children called Play Around Sound. Cherub currently presents sound healing and sound meditiation workshops using gongs, drums and Cherabella crystal sound bowls. She visits the jungle of Peru several times a year to listen, draw from nature and connect to the cosmos.

Lisa Sibley-Pollitt
Breath coach

Lisa Sibley-Pollitt, our expert breath coach, provides guided meditation sessions to help rebalance the mind and body. Lisa is a practitioner of Inspirational Breathing, an approach which uses a conscious, connected breathing technique to remove unhelpful patterns of behaviour and release deeply-held layers of trauma and pain. Inspirational Breathing is designed to fully open the respiratory system (sometimes for the first time ever) and flood the body with energy.

    Arrive at Our Retreat today, surrounded by 42 acres of ancient forest and wild meadows. This beautiful space is a place for truth and growth. After settling in, you'll hear an informative welcoming talk.

    You'll then have a welcome dinner prepared by the retreat's excellent in-house chefs. This will consist of a delicious buffet-style plant-based meal. Help yourself and sit around the table getting to know your fellow guests.

    Enjoy a Yin Yoga and meditation session with instructor Jade McClernon this evening before bed.
